A base plate adheres to the skin around the stoma. It protects the stoma from aggressive stoma output and is attached to the corresponding ostomy bag through a ring with a matching size. Basic II Kids base plates are usually used when the stoma protrudes above the skin surface and when the skin around the stoma is flat and without creases.Key features:
