The Lentell Convex ExtendTouchâ„¢ base plate is designed for extended wear time and to address the challenges of managing ostomies that are flush with the skin, recessed or located on uneven skin surfaces. By gently pressing around the stoma, the convex shape helps to increase the protrusion of the stoma, which allows more efficient drainage of the output directly into the stoma bag and reduces the risk of leakage. This improved fit, i.e. seal, is particularly beneficial for those who have frequent leakage problems due to the position of the stoma or abdominal contour.
